SummaryIntroduces and supports teachers with methods, instructional strategies and materials that, through research, have proven to increase student achievement.
JOB GOAL: To support teachers with evidence-based methods, instructional strategies and materials to increase teacher proficiency and student achievement.
Required Qualifications
5 years successful teaching experience minimum
Demonstrate knowledge in curriculum, instruction, and assessments
Excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills
Skilled at working with others in a professional learning environment, including mentoring and coaching teachers and modeling effective teaching practices
Self-starter with strong organization and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Willing to accept constructive feedback and reflect on professional practice and implement change when necessary
Experience working with English Language Learners
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree or BA+, and Reading Endorsem*nt or Math approved area
Active in school leadership/committees
Previous coaching or mentoring experience
Experience in the development of and delivery of staff development
Various grade level experience
Such alternatives to the above required & preferred qualifications as the Superintendent/Designee may find appropriate and acceptable
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist teachers with data analysis and instructional planning
Support teachers through observation and coaching for implementation and facilitation of instruction through:
Demonstration lessons with pre and post discussions and analysis
Formal and informal individual discussions and feedback
Professional Learning Community meetings
Effectively plan and deliver staff development as well as attend staff development to stay immersed in scientifically-researched best practice
Participates collaboratively as a school leader in the area of instructional improvement
Assist teachers in aligning their teaching with appropriate standards, curriculum and assessment.
Support teachers with Educator Goal Plan, site 301 implementation and District initiatives while maintaining confidentiality.
If position is grant-funded, perform such other duties and responsibilities to align with program specifics.
Perform such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent/Designee

Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several concrete variables
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret education materials and programs; ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of teachers, students, administration, and the community.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical such as probability and statistical inference; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
