We will definitely be staying at Footbridge Beach Motel again and again. They not only take great pride in the property but are also very attentively and friendly. They even took time out of their busy day to give us a ride to town when we could not get an uber. Above and beyond what any other host would even consider. The pool area is spectacular and welcoming.
Rooms were super clean and comfortable. The pool was heated and if you just wanted to sit around the pool they had heaters in place to keep the coolness at bay. Just a short walk to the beach. Great restaurants close by as well. Scott and Mark were perfect hosts. Both have a beautiful sense of humour!
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for when coming to Maine. Cozy and quaint and a 5 minute walk from footbridge beach. The housekeepers keep the rooms immaculate. The owners keep the grounds very nice with beautiful flowers all around. The hotel rooms are updated with nice Samsung flat screen TVs and a mini fridge.
The owner, Mark was pleasant, attentive and visible in the two days we were there. The rooms were tastefully decorated, with a beachy decor, microwave and nice size fridge with freezer on top (nice touch as most hotel fridges usually have the compact mini fridge). The king bed was very comfortable, brand new carpeting and a great bathroom, newly redone. The hotel is close to Footbridge Beach and right on the main road. A great value that will not disappoint.

Adorable place right on the main street within walking distance of many restaurants and the Marginal Way. The room was lovely, cozy, clean. There is an outside fire pit and we have a lovely time sitting there at night with wine. The owners were charming and helpful. In particular, I left my Rolex in the room by mistake. One of the owners found it and called me to return it. This level of honesty deserves recognition.
You can’t beat the location of the Abalonia! It is convenient to town, beach and the Marginal Way. Jesse was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. I didn’t love being on the first floor by parking without a porch; however it was quiet and there is a common area porch close by. I would stay here again.
Comfortable room, great location, friendly and considerate new owners! Fairly easy walk to Ogunquit beach and to restaurants along Shore Drive as well as Main Street. We’ve been visiting Ogunquit for years and this is our favorite place to stay.
The inn is so close to the beach and amazing restaurants!! We walked everywhere as this inn is right in Ogunquit village. The inn has a huge hot tub and they also have a saltwater pool which was nice to hang out in after a day on the beach. They also have a firepit to hang out after dinner which was so relaxing. The room was very comfortable and even has a coffee maker and a refrigerator.
The new owners Jesse and his wife along with their son Keegan are so friendly and always wanting to make sure the guests are having a great time. Will definitely go back.

To get to the beach, one must walk down the street, down a path, across the river’s bridge, and down the beach. If you’re drunk, sunburned, tired, have foot problems or just not a walker, it’s a pain. BUT there is a shuttle. So ask at the desk!
Main Street is super fun on foot. We REALLY enjoyed the Rose Cove Cafe (disguised as an ice cream shoppe, the fried clams are AMAZING), Cafe Prego (italian), and straight-but-not-narrow-friendly gay bar Mainestreet Ogunquit for drinks. We found the Front Porch to be good food, but filled with seniors at the piano bar. The Village Food Market had some terrific tourist items that were half the price of others we’d seen, plus great gourmet take-out. And the perfume/soap store AMAZING.
It is a lovelyresortthat includes amazing ocean views with a pool and tennis court, as well as a lovely breakfast room. The grounds are kept flawlessly with magnificent flowers. The Staff iswonderful, warm and caring And theirResortManager keeps everything running beautifully from year to year. The housekeeping staff does everything to make your stay comfortable.
The rooms are clean and the room we have overlooks the water. They have a small Breakfast which is included ,comes with some great muffins.If you can get a reservation I recommend Sparhawk in Maine. You can walk to all the restaurants and it is very convenient to get to get food or water to buy which is at the corner a block away.
During the season the trolley stops right across the street to take you to Perkins Cove. Once your car is parked it’s easy to get around the town. The grounds are lovely and they have beautiful flowers everywhere and they are connected to the marginal Way. A lovely walk which takes you into Perkins Cove.
The staff is friendly and, yes, happy; you feel truly welcomed from the moment you walk up to the front desk. Also, do not hesitate to ask for their recommendations for attractions and most especially for dining; over the years I have found their restaurant recommendations to be reliable.
The housekeeping is prompt, detailed and superlative. Our room in the Barbara Dean was, as it always is, immaculate. Again I say, the level of cleanliness is absolutely equal to a Ritz-Carlton.
There is a lovely continental breakfast and coffee and tea all day. The pool is heated, really quite warm, and, especially if you get there when it first opens at eight AM, quiet and not at all crowded. Or, you can just sit in one of the lawn chairs and read or laze away the day. The grounds and the flowers are unfailingly beautiful and well-kept, especially the row of flowers lining the Marginal Way walk.
It is remarkably quiet even though it is on Shore Road and abuts Marginal Way (your scenic route to Perkin’s Cove). You are really right in the middle of town, it is not five minutes to the main streets of Ogunquit.
I do recommend that you stay early or late in The Season. Ogunquit is lovely and quiet in June but by July or August is quite bustling, mind, not at all bad, it is just a lot busier and more crowded.
